Join us for an enlightening & nourishing afternoon as we journey into the world of Ayurvedic Yoga practices, including Yoga Nidra. Ayurveda is the healing art of yoga. It invites us to listen deeper to subtle forces & utilizes practices that will shift our energetics, creating greater harmony. Where there is harmony there is health. Our practice becomes a powerful therapeutic tool when the principles of Ayurveda are properly applied to it as it opens us up to a whole new potential for healing & peace, restoring a natural sense of balance within our body/mind. Our grounding & centering breath informed practice will cultivate warmth & fluidity, through steadying, earthy slow-flow & stillness, pranayama and chanting. The practice will descend into the quiet stillness & bliss of Yoga Nidra (conscious relaxation), allowing us to shed deep layers tension in the body/mind & surrender into deeper states peace. You will learn techniques to take with you off of the mat to help you to remain grounded, balanced and peaceful as you settle back into the busyness of the season.
